Job Description

The Athletic Field Supervisor is a part-time seasonal position responsible for overseeing day to day field/sports operations and providing onsite support throughout the outdoor sports season. This position will mainly work weekday evenings. This position will remain open until filled. Provide leadership, direction, and onsite supervision for Youth Athletic Associations, general field users, and league officials/participants. Monitor parks/fields to provide support and assist with troubleshooting any issues and concerns. Inform supervisors and document on-site program concerns including scheduling conflicts, maintenance needs, and all other pertinent program related issues. Responsible for monitoring weather and fields conditions and assist with field preparation when/if needed due to field conditions. Educate facility users on facility policies and regulations. Document any incidents/accidents, maintenance issues, etc. Inventory supplies and equipment for sports programs. Notify supervisors when additional supplies are needed. Provide Recreation Supervisor with documented feedback from participants regarding programs and facilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years of age or older Valid Driver's License Responsible, organized, and decision-making and leadership skills Strong communication Courteous, friendly, and enjoy interacting with people Must be able to work independently Experience working and/or playing in community recreation or athletic programs Available to work around 3-6 hours per week. Thursday evening availability is required, preference for Wednesdays too.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Position requires lifting 10 pounds frequently, push/pull, bend/knee/squat, grasp and reach for routine tasks.
Working Conditions :
The position is performed primarily outdoors with exposure to inclement weather, outdoor allergens including insects, slippery surfaces and uneven ground.
