POSITION TYPE

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and coordinating recreational programs, leagues and special events, recreation facility oversight and management of food concession operations.
MAJOR DUTIES
Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates part-time staff. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates recreation leagues, tournaments, classes and special events. Assists in the management and oversight of recreation facilities. Manages concession operations at various facilities, and tracks inventory, expenditures and revenues Coordinates and develops staff schedules for recreation events, , concessions, leagues, and various programs.. Works with marketing to develop informational brochures, newsletters, flyers, and other marketing material.. Assists in researching projects as assigned. Tracks employee hours and assists in completion of various payroll reports. Prepares recreation and concession reports. Assists in the development of operating budgets and provides oversight of assigned budgets.. Provides quality customer service. Responds as needed to after hours calls. Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Knowledge of sports rules and recreation programming principles . Knowledge of food management , concession operations, liquor control and health code regulations. Knowledge of facility management principles and acceptable cleanliness standards. Basic knowledge in the operation of computers and various software programs. Skill in oral and written communication. Knowledge of risk management principles. Skill in organizing and planning recreational programs, leagues and special events Skill in managing personnel. Knowledge of child labor laws. Basic knowledge of budgeting principles, cash management and inventory control
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and knowledge sufficient to perform the major duties and essential functions required of the position. Possession of a valid driver's license. Salary per year $43,882, plus a generous benefit package. Bi-weekly pay periods. Thirteen paid holidays per year. 96 hours of vacation

org). Total compensation value (Annual starting salary plus benefits value) for this position is $62,220.21 per year. Before final appointment, successful applicant will be required to successfully complete a drug test and background investigation.
