This is a full time, exempt position.
General Description:
The Creative Services and Broadcasting Coordinator role is responsible for supporting the overall University sports information department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
Oversee William Woods University athletics broadcasts in conjunction with the Heart of America Conference, the NAIA, and other University partners. Create social media content Photography Home game management Creating student centric content highlighting success, on and off the playing field.
Secondary Duties:
Maintaining Athletic Statistics Editing the Athletic website Press Releases Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Previous experience in sports information is preferred. BA in Journalism, Communications, Graphic Arts, Sports Management, or some other related field. Experience on or around sports teams, as well as statistical record keeping. Strong skills or background in web pages. Strong oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated to exceed expectations, with the ability to motivate others to do likewise.
Typical Physical Demands:
Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times each day. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds. Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Ability to speak and read English fluently. Ability to hear. Ability to travel. Must possess a valid Missouri driver's license and adhere to the WWU vehicle policy.
Work Schedule:
This is an exempt position requiring 40+ hours per week, and a 12-month position with evening and weekend work as needed.
