Duties Supervise groups of children during camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and positive conduct among campers Assist with setting up activity stations, preparing materials, and maintaining a clean and organized environment Respond promptly to camper needs with compassion and professionalism, providing first aid or emergency assistance when necessary Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules and ensure smooth transitions between activities Support the development of youth programs by encouraging participation, fostering teamwork, and promoting inclusivity Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills to guide behavior effectively in group settings Knowledge of first aid protocols, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response procedures is required or obtainable upon hire Background in special education or childhood development is a plus for supporting diverse needs Experience leading youth group activities or facilitating team sports enhances your ability to engage campers actively Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential for success in this role This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about working with children in a lively camp environment.
