Summer Camp Counselor Roads 2 Success Summer Camp Charlotte, NC Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time | Internship $8 - $9 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Youth recreational activities facilitation Personal service experience with children Complaint handling Driver's License Camp experience Full Job Description As a Summer Camp Counselor, your job will include many tasks, all with the goal of creating an unforgettable camp experience for our campers. As you manage campers, classrooms, activities, field trips, and their families, your Camp Director will be assisting you along the way. Camp Counselor Qualities Ability to work well with children Ability to protect the health and well-being of campers at all times Knowledge of camp program and planning Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations Prior experience working with children Camp Counselor Responsibilities Work with groups of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience Ensures campers follow safety procedures in all program areas. Greet families and campers upon arrival and orientate them to camp Manage parent expectations by knowing your campers and communicating with parents at pick-up and drop-off times Plan daily camp schedule and activities Prepare activities in advance Manage any issues that may arise including, but not limited to, camper behavior issues, parent complaints, etc. Check in with the Camp Director to update her on your camp and any issues Requirements Must be able to work June 10th - August 23rd, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 pm-6:00 pm. 18 years of age or older Must have valid driver license and have reliable transportation Must provide relevant references (3) Must pass background and drug test Childcare experience is preferred Additional Information Pay rate is $8-$9 per hr. Paid on a weekly basis.
