Murphy Rehab and Nursing in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina has an Activity Assistant Position Available. The Activity Assistant will be responsible in assisting the Activity Director in developing the resident activity programs of the facility. conduct activities in accordance with physician orders and documentation. If you love interacting with our population to ensure a well balanced day of fun activities for a healthy and happy life then this is a position for you. This position will be able to function in the role and responsibilities of activity director should the need arise. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

Assist in preparing and posting Monthly Activity Calendars in centralized locations within the building, circulation of copies of the monthly calendar to departments and interested parties as well as posting in residents rooms indicating scheduled activities and times for coming month's plan which reflects interests identified by the comprehensive assessment as follows, but not limited to: Offer activities at hours convenient to the resident (morning , afternoon, some evenings, weekends, and holidays) Reflect the cultural and religious interests of the resident population Appeal to both men and women and all age groups living in the facility Promote activities in various locations (i.e. indoor/outdoor and community based activities.) Include Seasonal and Special Events for resident activities. Assist in the organization of programs for group and individual activities based on residents' individualized needs as identified in resident's health care plans. Maintain a balance of recreational activities including physical, social, religious, diversional, intellectual, and creative arts and crafts. Other duties deemed necessary. The role of Activity Assistant carries out various assignments to ensure resident engagement in activities of choice as well as leading those activities.
