Job Description

Are you a friendly, dependable individual who enjoys helping others? Raleigh Parks is looking for Recreation Leaders to serve as the first point of contact for visitors at our facility. In this dynamic role, you will greet guests, assist with program registration, process payments, and provide information about our services and activities. Recreation Leaders also support Facility Directors and Assistant Directors with daily operations and can supervise a facility in their absence. There are weekday, evening, and weekend shifts available. Join our team and help us build community through recreation! Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, over the phone, and through other communication platforms. Answer questions about facility amenities, programs, and services. Promote Raleigh Parks programs and events. Monitor facility activity and assist in daily operations. Register participants and process payments using registration software. Complete administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping. Assist with cleanliness and sanitization throughout the facility. Oversee participant check-in procedures for programs. Must be at least 18 years old Experience working in a customer service or recreation setting is preferred. Knowledge of basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office This position requires the ability to move around and be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Positions in this class typically require Climbing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Seeing, Pushing and Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing and Repetitive Motions. Subject to environmental conditions as activities occur inside and outside.
Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
