Part Time Work Days:
Fridays, Sundays and Mondays 9am-530pm Under the supervision of the Activity Director, the Activity Assistant performs duties involving the planning and implementation of programs which meet the needs of our senior residents.
Responsibilities:
The Activities Assistant is responsible for organizing and facilitating of resident-centered activity events. Leads a variety of daily activities for both individual and groups. Activities include, but not limited to, arts and crafts, recreational games, sensory stimulation, cognitive activities, discussion groups, and musical entertainment events. Activity Assistant reports to the Activity Director, adheres to organizational policies and procedures, and demonstrates a team approach and positive attitude.
Position Requirements:
Experience working with Memory Care Residents is preferred Lead and organize daily activities as scheduled by the Activity Director Keep our senior residents safe and entertained Maintain a clean workspace Demonstrate an upbeat, friendly attitude with good communication skills This is a hands-on team oriented position Must be able to pass Criminal Background screen Must be at least 21 years old.
Working Conditions:
Heated/Air conditioned, well-lit facility with minimal barriers. Some weekend/evening work as assigned. Lifting, pushing or pulling up to 30 lbs., using proper body mechanics or available equipment. Bending or kneeling to perform cleaning tasks in the kitchen and dining room areas.
