Job Description

Passaic County Community College is seeking a Fitness Court Ambassador who will report to the Athletic Director. The Fitness Court Ambassador will be required to manage and conduct programming for the College's newly established Outdoor Fitness Court (as part of the National Fitness Campaign). This staff member will interact with students, faculty, staff and community groups to maximize the use of the court. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Examples of Duties:
Assist in all operations and events scheduled for PCCC's Outdoor Fitness Court. Collaborate with the College's Outdoor Courtyard Coordinator to spread awareness and encourage broader community engagement. Monitor the use of PCCC's outdoor Fitness Court and ensure patron safety. Assist in all aspects of event programming, including equipment set-up and post-event clean-up. Demonstrate use of equipment and assist individuals with using the Fitness Court® app Lead fitness court workouts, clinics, and other fitness/wellness activities. Utilize Fitness Court Best Practices including connecting with student clubs and college groups, starting a weekly fitness meetup, and organizing mini fitness challenges. Collaborate with the College's Social Media Coordinator to post workouts and progress.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree preferred but not required. Previous experience in programming and operations support for athletic or recreational activities One to two (1-2) years of related experience required. Technical experience in operating athletic equipment. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Specialized Licenses:
Personal training certification preferred. First Aid, CPR, AED training certification required.
Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay range for this position is $17-$20.

Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
