Job Description
Recreation Assistant We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Recreation Assistant to join our wonderful team at Cornell Care & Rehabilitation Center managed by Autumn Lake Healthcare at Union. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by planning and implementing recreational programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
Job Summary:
The Recreation Assistant will plan and execute recreational activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities. You will adapt programs to meet the changing needs and abilities of our residents, develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive community, collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care to our residents, and maintain accurate records and reports of recreational activities and resident participation.Responsibilities:
Plan and execute recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities Adapt programs to meet the changing needs and abilities of our residents Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive community Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care to our residents Maintain accurate records and reports of recreational activities and resident participationBenefits:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred Prior experience in healthcare staffing and/or recreational programming is a strong plus Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities Proficient with basic computer applicationsJob Type:
