None Category Student Description Job Summary/Description/Physical Demands Under direct supervision of the Campus Recreation Manager, Recreation Aides provide front-line support to endure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained fitness environment for students, faculty, and staff. Recreation Aides assist with daily operations, customer service, equipment,oversight, and facility saferty and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patrons; check IDs and enforce facility policies Monitor fitness areas to ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness center Assist with opening and closing procedures Safely lift, move, transport, and set up fitness center equipment as required Respond to incidents, emergencies, and report equipment issues as needed Support special events. intramural sports, and general recreation operations Follow all NMHU policies, safety procedures, and risk management protocols and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Currently enrolled as an NMHU Student. Current First Aid and CPR/AED verification or willingness to become certified. Current Defensive Driving Certification or willingness to become certified. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift ans move fitness equipment (up to 100 lbs)
