Job Description
Position Summary:
The Wellness Clerk, under the general supervision of the Health, Wellness, and Education Coordinator, provides front desk coverage during hours of operation for the Wellness Center. Front desk responsibilities include; delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness of the space and the equipment, and issuing out fitness equipment and keeping records of patrons. Follow Guidelines including applicable laws, rules and regulations, Nambé Pueblo policies and procedures, and supervisor and administrative instructions and directives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Clearly communicate and enforce rules with staff and visitors Provide customer service; greeting patrons at front desk and answering phone calls Ensure patrons are signing in on arrival prior to utilizing the facility Check out fitness and recreation equipment; maintain records Maintain equipment inventory Organize front desk, front lobby and storage areas on a daily basis Perform daily cleaning of exercise room, front lobby, gym, kitchen, bathrooms and office Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Wellness Center and the Pueblo of Nambe Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, damages, thefts or other violations to their supervisor immediately Schedule and conduct health/fitness assessments Be able to collaborate with other programs, such as Diabetes/CHR Must be able to work flex hours as needed, including being on call Must follow directions, be able to prioritize and be self-driven Entering Data on Data Base Assisting with After School Program, Summer Program Activities and Community Events Other duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications:
Reporting, Organization, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Inventory Tracking, Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Multi-Task, Prioritize Be able to lift 50 pounds without muscle strain Work in an outside environment and on your feet for hours at a time Certified in CPR, group fitness, personal training, and/or other applicable certifications preferred. Knowledge and ability on proper usage of exercise equipment/machinesMinimum Qualifications:
Must pass a background and drug test. Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license and be insurable through the Pueblo of Nambe. Must possess a high school or GED Equivalent, or be in high school. Must be First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification. Be willing to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekends. Must maintain confidentiality.Pay:
