Job Description
Seeking 2 high energy individuals to brighten the lives of our residents. We have 1 full time opening and 1 part time opening. to join our team! 1. Assist Activities Director in all areas and be able to conduct the activities program in the Director/Assistant Director's absence. 2. Participates in program planning and creating the monthly calendars. 3. Assist Activities Director in each resident's initial assessment, goal and plan, and assist in review and revision of their activities plan. 4. Devise, prepare and instruct group and individual programs. 5. Socialize with residents during working hours. 6. Drive facility van for scheduled resident outings. 7. Keep activity areas neat and clean. 8. Make posters for emphasizing programs, special events and entertainment. 9. List supplies and equipment needed and assist in the inventory process. 10. Maintain weekly and monthly attendance sheets. 11. Attend inservice and continuing education programs. Assist in offering inservice education programs. 12. Attend resident care meetings and facility's committee meetings in the absence of the Activities Director/Assistant Activities Director. 13. Be familiar with the NY State Code of Activities. 14. Be available to work seven (7) days a week on a rotating schedule, every other weekend and occasionally on holidays. 15. Also any other assigned duties and responsibilities as are necessary. Experience is preferred, but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
