Overnight Weekend Camp Counselor Camp Cheerful, Strongsville Are you fun, patient, warm, enthusiastic and hard working? Come be a Weekend Camp Counselor and be prepared to make an unforgettable impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities! Set on 52 acres of woods, trails, fields and aquatic areas of the Cleveland Metroparks, the Achievement Centers for Children's Camp Cheerful offers campers all the traditional camp activities including, hiking, arts and crafts, nature activities, games, campfire activities, music, sports, and so much more!!!! We are currently recruiting Weekend Camp Counselors interested in working our Weekend Respite Overnight Camp! Weekend overnight camps are scheduled twice a month (dates listed below). Counselors provide high-quality primary care and support for the campers, who are 16 years of age and older with disabilities. As a counselor you will make memories with your campers by assisting them in participating in activities. Personal care is required such as toileting and changing. Working hours are Friday from 5:30 pm until Sunday at 12:00pm.

Compensation is $350 per weekend
Hours:
Friday at 5:30pm to Sunday at 12:00pm (overnight stay required) Personal care is required such as toileting and changing Must be 18 years of age or older Previous camp experience, or experience with children with disabilities is a plus, but not a requirement! CPR, First Aid and AED certification provided Crisis prevention and intervention certification provided We serve a wide range of disabilities including cognitive, physical, developmental and neurological. We typically provide a 1 counselor to 3 camper ratio You do not need to commit to every weekend we offer May be used as an internship opportunity if your school/college allows
