Under the direction of the Recreation Operations Manager and the Recreation Programs Manager, the Recreation Supervisor-Aquatics is responsible for all operations of the aquatics area which includes the indoor natatorium at the Worthington Community Center and all its aquatics programming. Work involves supervising facility operations, supervising personnel, planning, coordinating, and implementing programs, providing excellent customer service, ensuring safety and compliance with standards, and assisting with the overall operation of the Parks and Recreation Department's recreation facilities. The ideal candidate will have a high level of aquatics experience, work well in a team setting, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate from an accredited college or university with a major in Recreational Management or a closely related field, or any equivalent combination of demonstrated ability and experience in leading specific recreation aquatic activities. Experience in pool management and recreation supervision required. Must possess a current certification in Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid and Blood-borne Pool Pathogens and must possess a Pool/Spa Operator or comparable certification. Must obtain a Lifeguard Training Instructor certificate within one year of employment. Valid Ohio Driver's License required. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt, classified position with a salary range of $72,066 - $90,824. New hires typically are appointed at step A of the pay range. Training and experience may qualify a candidate for appointment at a higher step within this range.
