Briarfield Health Care Centers is now hiring an Activity Assistant to join our teams across MahoningColumbiana Counties! Job Description:
Assist with the planning and implementation of activities for our facility and our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work at direction of Activity Director and Executive Director. Help design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment and improve daily living skills. Must be familiar with or become familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. This position requires an individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work without direct supervision. Must be well organized, efficient with their time and able to coordinate many activities. The employee may be requested to perform other duties or tasks that are not listed, but are within the competence and training of the individual.
Physical Demands:
Stooping, bending, turning, stretching including pushing and pulling, lifting, standing and walking (portion of shift). Visual and audio acuity necessary to detect changes in resident condition. Must have patience, flexibility and tact in dealing with others. Must possess genuine concern for and ability to work with other adults. Works in office areas and throughout the facility and outdoors. Must be committed to providing exceptional Customer Service.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience in activities preferred, but not required.
