Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Wellness Attendant maintains and promotes senior fitness activities within the community centers. You will also track and log participants in fitness challenges. You will report to the Senior Nutrition Program Manager. PG02 - Part Time | Coalgate Wellness Center |
Schedule:
three days a week, variable schedule | Weekly Earned Wage Access is an Option for this Position |
Primary Tasks:
Encourage elders to participate in the Senior Fitness Challenge; promote activities within the community and provide waivers to participants and ensure waiver completion prior to participation. Motivate elder participates to increase their amount of physical activity; seek input from elders on what exercise activities they would like to participate in. Schedule activities, including games and crafts, two [2] times per week at the community center to help elders with physical fitness. Record group participation using sign in sheets at each meeting. Collect log sheets weekly during the Senior Fitness Challenge, tally team results, and report results to the Program Manager. Transport elders to wellness events. Coordinate with the Cook and prepare snacks and meals with wellness activities. Assist with Title VI applications, sign in sheets, and serving community meals. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Valid driver's license Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain
