About the Role Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Sports Coordinator coach plays a key role in delivering a positive and engaging i9 Sports experience for players, coaches, and families. This position involves leading volleyball activities during practices and game days, with hands-on involvement supporting athletes of all ages and skill levels. The Sports Coordinator coach will provide high-quality, age-appropriate instruction focused on developing fundamental volleyball skills. Responsibilities include leading drills, facilitating game-like scenarios and scrimmages, and creating a balance between skill development and fun, competitive play. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with players, parents, and coaches while ensuring instructional quality and program standards are consistently upheld. Observing, mentoring, and supporting volunteer coaches is a critical component of this role. Responsibilities Support the execution of weekly practices and game day operations Provide guidance and feedback to volunteer coaches Ensure a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants Build positive relationships with players, parents, and staff Assist with setup, organization, and overall site management Requirements Experience or knowledge in volleyball (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet Highly motivated and dependable self-starter Ability to lead, motivate, and support coaches Strong commitment to safety and customer service Must be available to work Saturdays throughout the season, with occasional evening meetings Must be 18 years of age or older
