Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Activities Assistant to join our team in providing engaging experiences for residents in our assisted living and memory care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning and a deep understanding of the unique needs of seniors, particularly those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through creative programming and supportive interactions. Duties Coordinate events, outings, and recreational activities that promote social interaction, physical engagement, and cognitive stimulation. Facilitate group sessions and one-on-one interactions to foster relationships among residents. Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and assess resident feedback to continuously improve programming. Setting up and cleaning up after events, leading groups, crafts, or exercise classes, and encourage residents to participate. Understanding Alzheimer's care, dementia care and memory care. Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with residents, families, and staff members. Talk clearly and motivate groups with a positive attitude. Help transport residents to and from events, and sometimes assist during mealtimes.
Pay:
$18.50 - $23.00 per hour
