Recreation Staff members play a vital role in monitoring recreational amenities that include boats, pools, the fitness center, and the ski shop. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members and their guests while holding and enforcing all rules and regulations for each amenity. Recreation Staff interact directly with members and their guests and will ensure their interactions are consistent with Saw Creek Estates Standards of Care.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. The Pool Attendant, when assigned, is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for residents and guests at the community swimming pool(s). This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing pool rules and regulations, maintaining the cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with basic pool operations. 2. The Boat Attendant, when assigned, will assist residents and guests with the safe launching and retrieval of various watercraft, including canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats. This may involve guiding boaters, managing ramp traffic, and offering physical assistance when needed. Monitor boating activities to ensure compliance with community lake rules and regulations. Educate boaters on safety guidelines and address any unsafe practices or violations in a courteous and professional manner. 3. The Fitness Center Attendant, when assigned, is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and guests using the community's fitness center. This role involves providing excellent customer service, enforcing fitness center rules and regulations, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, and assisting members with basic equipment operation and inquiries. 4. The Event Staff, when assigned & in coordination with the Lifestyles Supervisor, plays a crucial role in the successful execution of a variety of community events, activities, and programs. This position is responsible for providing logistical support, ensuring the smooth operation of events, assisting attendees, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Event Staff may be involved in setup, during-event support, and breakdown activities. 5. Ski Shop attendant, when assigned, will assist residents and guests with the rental and return of ski and snowboard equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and helmets. Ensure proper fitting of equipment and explain usage guidelines. 6. All Recreation Staff are responsible for Amenity Access Control, by verifying member or guest access to amenities by checking fobs. Maintain accurate counts of amenity usage through manual logs or electronic systems. 7. Follow opening and closing procedures for assigned amenities and associated restrooms and ensure areas remain in an organized and sanitary manner and all procedures are fully documented. 8.Attendants will continuously monitor all assigned amenities and identify and communicate any maintenance needs with the Recreation Leads and Director.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
1. Must maintain American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding and CPR. Training will be provided. 2. Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands. 3. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. 4. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather. 2. Required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 3. Required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and smell. 4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and at times loud when operating equipment.
