Activities Assistant Carlisle, PA We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging recreational, social, and emotional activities under the guidance of the Director of Activities.
Position Type:
Full Time Key Responsibilities Ensure the emotional, recreational, and social needs of residents are met on an individual basis. Assist residents with everyday tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and participation in activities. Support activities such as mail delivery, escorting residents to programs, plant and pet care, preparing newsletters, fundraising efforts, and making morning announcements. Facilitate creative activities, including crafts, painting, and other projects that promote self-expression and engagement. Carry out programs that foster entertainment, communication, relaxation, and opportunities for residents to explore their creative talents and fulfill social, psychological, and spiritual needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in long-term care or working with the elderly or disabled is desirable. Must be 18 years or older to apply. Why Join Us?
