[Alternating Weekend] Job Description Are you passionate about bringing joy, energy, and meaningful connection to the lives of older adults? We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and creative Activity Assistant to join our vibrant community team. In this role, you will work closely with our Activities Director to plan, set up, and lead a diverse range of social, physical, and creative programs. Your primary goal will be to enhance our residents' daily quality of life, ensure their safety, and foster a warm, inclusive community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities Lead Daily Activities:
Conduct scheduled group programs including arts and crafts, bingo, fitness classes, trivia, and musical entertainment.
Provide One-on-One Engagement:
Spend quality time with individual residents who prefer personal room visits, reading, or quiet companionship.
Resident Transportation:
Assist and safely escort residents to and from activity rooms, dining areas, and community outings.
Foster Community Participation:
Encourage and invite residents to join events, tailoring activities to match various physical and cognitive ability levels.
Collaborative Support:
Maintain organized activity spaces, track resident attendance, and report any changes in resident behavior or physical health to the nursing team.
Job Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent standard.
Experience:
Prior experience in eldercare, recreation, or healthcare is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic entry-level candidates with a heart for service.
Skills:
Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, and a patient, positive attitude.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and assist with transporting residents in wheelchairs for extended periods. Additional Details How To Identify Potential Job Scams
