In this role, you will work under the direction of the Activities Director to plan and implement engaging programs that support the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of our residents. This position plays an important role in creating a positive and stimulating environment that enhances the quality of life for residents in our memory care community. Schedule Part-Time 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Key Responsibilities The Activities Assistant helps ensure residents' emotional, recreational, and social needs are met through meaningful activities and engagement. Assist residents with social activities and engagement such as writing letters, making phone calls, and other personal tasks Support record keeping of resident participation and progress in activity programs Assist with mail delivery, escorting residents to activity programs, and preparation of activity areas Help maintain plants, flowers, pets, and aquariums within the facility as part of the activity program Assist with preparing the monthly newsletter and supporting fundraising efforts Make facility announcements when needed Implement activity programs promoting entertainment, communication, exercise, relaxation, and creativity Provide residents with craft supplies, materials, and equipment while supervising participation Encourage resident participation in social and recreational programming to support emotional and psychological well-being Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous long-term care experience or experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred Strong communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills Must be 18 years of age or older Benefits We strive to provide employees with a comprehensive and affordable benefits package, including: Health & Wellness Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage Dental and Vision Insurance Telemedicine Program Financial Security Company-Paid Group Life Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance Short-Term Disability 401(k) Savings Plan Additional Support Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Work-Life Balance Planned Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick leave) Additional Perks DailyPay - Access earned wages daily for a nominal fee Education Assistance Up to $5,250 per year toward tuition• Up to $2,625 per year toward repayment of a Non-Federal Nursing Student Loan• Benefits, bonuses, and variable compensation plans are based on applicable state law, employment classification, location, and length of service.
