Description As a Care Partner, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities: Checks email and other appropriate resources daily for updated activity schedule/resident information and designs special events signs, announcements, and weekly schedule of lifestyle activities and posts them on bulletin boards.
Plans and prepares for activities of the day, holidays and special events, purchases/orders necessary supplies, sets up activity areas, and cleans up area following activity.
Invites residents to scheduled activities, including bus trips out of the facility, and escorts interested residents, if necessary.
Conducts the activities scheduled each day for resident groups, one to one activities for individual residents and spontaneous events in a manner that promotes culture change and a home-like atmosphere.
Charts resident information as it pertains to activities using the approved documentation method.
Communicates, as needed, with staff in other departments to coordinate their involvement in activities and trips.
Arranges with outside vendors to entertain or conduct programs with residents.
Provides ADL assistance to residents during activities and outings, including but not limited to toileting assistance, dining assistance and mobility/transfer assistance.
Respond to call bells as needed while on the nursing units.
Reports any changes in Residents condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
