Activity Aide Aventura at Prospect is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Aide to join our team! Position Summary The Activity Aide assists with planning and leading engaging activities that promote socialization, creativity, physical movement, and overall resident well-being. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, dependable, and enjoys building positive relationships with residents. Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences. Organize activities such as arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, entertainment, social events, and holiday celebrations. Assist residents with participating in activities when needed. Help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for residents. Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interaction. Assist with decorating activity areas and preparing materials and supplies. Maintain activity areas and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director. Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support resident needs. Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous experience working as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, energetic, and able to engage residents in a variety of activities. Patient, compassionate, and dependable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
