Job Description

Life Engagement Assistant (Part-Time) If you are looking for a rewarding career where you will have the opportunity to bring cheer and quality to the lives of seniors each and every day, then we have the job for you! Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a Part-Time Life Engagement Assistant to join our Residential Living Life Engagement team. The ideal candidate will be engaging, compassionate, self-motivated, and have a passion for working with seniors and making a difference in their lives. Schedule:
Part-Time 20 hours per week Weekly schedule will vary based on department program needs Occasional evenings and weekends required
Compensation:
Dependent upon experience Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) : Assist with planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational, social, and leisure activities for Residential Living residents. Support and accompany residents on community outings, special events, and evening programs as needed. Build meaningful relationships with residents by providing social and emotional support while encouraging participation in activities that enhance quality of life. Coordinate activity logistics by preparing supplies, tracking attendance, and helping maintain activity calendars, bulletin boards, and monthly participation records. Collaborate with departments such as Dining Services and Maintenance to plan and execute special events, holiday celebrations, and seasonal decorations. Help maintain clean, welcoming, and safe activity spaces while identifying residents' interests and activity needs through daily interactions, observations, and resident feedback.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, required 2 years experience in Activities or related position, preferred 2 years experience working with the senior living population, preferred Most importantly, this position requires accuracy, dependability, initiative and the desire to be a part of a team that's main focus is to bring our mission to life for our team and residents: To provide for the spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs of our residents through high quality facilities, services and personal care in a manner faithful to the Bible and honoring our Lord, Jesus Christ.
