Job Description

We are Currently looking for Activities Assistant to fill an opening in our Skilled Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility. The Activities Assistant supports the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational, social, and educational activities designed to enhance the quality of life for nursing home residents. This role helps encourage resident participation, promotes social engagement, and assists in creating a positive, enjoyable, and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with planning and conducting daily activity programs for residents. Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities. Help organize special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and entertainment programs. Transport residents to and from activity areas as needed. Set up and clean up activity rooms, supplies, and equipment. Maintain activity calendars, attendance records, and resident participation documentation. Visit residents who are unable to attend group activities and provide one-on-one engagement. Assist residents with crafts, games, exercise programs, music activities, and other recreational events. Communicate resident interests, needs, and concerns to the Activities Director and care team. Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and respectful manner. Follow facility policies, resident rights, and all applicable regulations. Assist with decorating common areas for seasonal and special events. Support volunteers and family members participating in activity programs.
