Job Summary The Assistant Director, Fitness Program works collaboratively with Fitness colleagues, with limited supervision from the Senior Assistant Director, to develop, oversee, and administer comprehensive and progressive fitness programs that meet the needs of the university community. Primary program management responsibilities include oversight of the Personal Training program, while supporting the broader operations and strategic initiatives of the Fitness program. This position has significant fiscal and operational responsibilities, including developing and monitoring program budgets, payroll management, tracking revenue and expenditures, preparing revenue and expense projections, analyzing financial performance, and identifying opportunities to improve program sustainability and growth. The Assistant Director will utilize financial and program data to inform operational decisions, forecast future needs, and support long-term program planning. Additional responsibilities include staff recruitment, training, development, scheduling, and performance management; program assessment and modification; marketing and outreach; and the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance the fitness experience for the campus community. This position will collaborate frequently with Fitness and Recreation & Wellness colleagues, as well as departments and partners across campus, to support integrated fitness and wellness initiatives. Some evening and weekend work may be required.- This position has the flexibility to work from home on occassion

- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sport Management, Health Education, Human Performance, Recreation, or related field.
