POSITION OVERVIEW
The Esports Coordinator provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Dunwoody College of Technology's Esports Program. This role is responsible for managing teams, production and broadcast operations, coaching staff, student leadership structures, recruitment, budgets, partnerships, and compliance with College policies. The Coordinator ensures a high-quality competitive, educational, and experiential environment for all esports participants while advancing the College's institutional goals. This individual reports to the Assistant Director of Student Affairs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
Program Leadership Directs, develops, promotes, and maintains all Esports programs offered at Dunwoody College of Technology. Ensures compliance with College policies, procedures, and applicable league or conference requirements. Plans, develops, and manages departmental fiscal affairs, including budgets, equipment, travel, and events. Collaborates with College leadership to establish programmatic goals, priorities, and assessment measures aligned with institutional needs. Develops best practices, workflows, and tools for effective esports program management and execution Team & Competitive Operations Oversees all competitive esports teams, including team structure, planning, league participation, and match scheduling. Recruits, hires, and manages coaches for each esports title, ensuring alignment with program philosophy, competitive goals, and student development standards. Designates and supports team captains, clearly defining leadership responsibilities and expectations. Maintains consistent and structured communication with coaches and team captains through regular meetings, updates, and performance check-ins. Establishes performance evaluation strategies for teams, coaches, and players, identifying opportunities for competitive and personal growth. Ensures each team is adequately staffed, supported, and resourced to compete effectively. Partnerships, Advancement & External Relations Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with the Esports Program Advisory Committee, industry partners, and external agencies. Represents the College in regional, national, and international collegiate esports leagues and conferences. Collaborates with campus partners to identify, develop, and steward sponsors and external supporters Works with the Office of Community Partnerships to develop programs that promote diversity, inclusion, and community engagement through esports and gaming. Production, Broadcasting & Media Management Oversees all esports production operations, including live broadcasts, streaming, and event coverage. Manages production teams consisting of student broadcasters, shout casters, observers, and technical crew. Recruits, trains, schedules, and evaluates student production staff, ensuring professional broadcast standards. Collaborates with marketing, communications, and advancement teams to promote esports content, events, and sponsorship opportunities. Recruitment, Enrollment & Student Engagement Leads recruitment efforts for esports players in collaboration with the Office of Enrollment Management. Aids in the recruitment, selection, and retention of students involved in esports programs. Supervision & Staff Management May supervise program support staff, student employees, production staff, coaches, and/or team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with College policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving conflicts. Other Duties Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and work evenings and weekends as required by competition and event schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS 3-5
years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in esports. Ability to work 40 hours per week. Autonomy and self-direction.
