PM Starting Wage Range:
$17 - $19 (pay is determined based on relevant experience)

Occasional evenings and weekends for scheduled activities and special events Do you enjoy bringing people together, creating meaningful experiences, and making each day a little more enjoyable? Bethany is looking for an Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team and help provide engaging recreational, social, spiritual, and wellness activities for our residents. What You'll Do As an Activities Assistant, you'll work closely with our Life Enrichment Director and other departments to help create a welcoming, active, and engaging environment for our residents.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with planning, scheduling, and facilitating recreational, educational, social, and wellness activities Facilitate large and small group activities as well as one-on-one resident visits Help ensure daily activities are carried out and make appropriate adjustments when needed Assist with evening activities and special events as scheduled Assist with campus outings, including coordinating transportation and resident participation Assist with volunteer training and maintaining volunteer training records Coordinate with Dietary staff for activities, resident programs, and special events Communicate and coordinate with the Chaplain regarding spiritual activities and events Provide individualized activities and visits for residents who are unable or choose not to attend group activities Work with residents in our secured neighborhood through sensory activities, entertainment, and visitation Document resident participation, responses, and activity-related information in PointClickCare Help maintain activity supplies and request additional supplies as needed Participate in resident care conferences as necessary Build positive relationships with residents, families, coworkers, volunteers, and members of the community Help create a warm, social atmosphere where residents can enjoy meaningful experiences, laughter, and fun Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Experience working with older adults preferred Activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, or similar experience preferred Activity Assistant, Activity Director, or Therapeutic Recreation certification/experience is a plus Creative, energetic, and comfortable engaging with individuals and groups Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments Good problem-solving and organizational skills Comfortable using computers and completing electronic documentation Dependable, flexible, and able to remain calm in changing situations A genuine interest in helping older adults enjoy a meaningful and engaging daily life At Bethany, we are caring people caring for people.
