Oak Ridge, TN 37830 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. The ideal candidate will support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities Assist in organizing and leading recreational and social activities for residents. Support the Activities Director in developing activity schedules and materials. Encourage resident participation and provide assistance as needed during activities. Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities. Document resident participation and report any concerns or observations to the Activities Director. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in recreational activities, caregiving, or related fields preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with elderly or special needs populations. Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. Work Environment This position involves working in a community or healthcare setting with residents of varying abilities. The Activities Assistant will be on their feet for extended periods and may assist with mobility or personal care as needed.
