Job Summary:
As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing engaging programs to enhance our residents' daily lives. You will work closely with our Activity Director to lead group activities, promoting socialization, entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment while also improving daily living skills. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Activity Director in developing and implementing a range of activities, including discussion groups, crafts, social gatherings, and active games Independently lead activities, ensuring a high level of engagement and participation from residents Prepare and set up activity spaces, including arranging materials and supplies Encourage and support residents in achieving their personal goals and interests Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement holistic care plans Maintain accurate records of resident activities and engagement Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a sense of community among residents
Requirements:
0 years of experience (recent graduates or those looking to transition into a new career are encouraged to apply) High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks Compassion, empathy, and a passion for working with older adults
