Job Description

Recreation Assistant This position provides administrative support to the Recreation Services office. The employee will have the responsibility of: Assisting in all aspects of recreation, athletic, and special event programs Facilitating on-site supervision of recreation events and programs, including set-up, tear down and clean-up of the site Utilizing programming software and conducting inventory Performing daily tasks such as cleaning, filing, sorting, answering calls, receiving the public, and providing assistance Taking payment for facility rentals, membership sales, sport registration, and other transactions Keeping essential records and preparing reports as required Ensuring all department bylaws, policies, and procedures are followed The work environment will require the employee to: Occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds As an employee with the city of Killeen some benefits are: Health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX Dental and Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement through TMRS (Optional 4579(b) Accounts) Paid Vacation and Sick Leave 13 paid holidays
