Job Description

Overview Teresa's House Craig Ranch is seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art community—thoughtfully designed with the latest research in mind—featuring cozy, home-like Assisted Living and Memory Care Homes to lead enrichment for up to 48 cherished seniors in a truly warm and welcoming environment. The Activity Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in assisted living and memory care settings. This position is responsible for helping the Activity Director in developing, implementing, and overseeing engaging programs and activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors, ensuring that each resident's unique needs and preferences are met.
Schedule:
Every Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5:30pm Duties Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and special events that promote socialization and cognitive engagement. Manage activity schedules to ensure timely and diverse programming that caters to residents' interests and abilities. Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure participation with activities Provide companionship and emotional support during activities to foster a sense of community and build relationships with residents Requirements Previous experience in an Assisted living and Memory care setting Dementia knowledge Patience and Empathy Ability to stand or walk for long periods
