The purpose of this position is to perform various clerical and general office duties. This is accomplished by providing customer service to Senior participants, maintaining cleanliness of Senior Programs areas, and supporting the Program Coordinator in daily program counts, monetary reconciliation, and close-of-business activities. May perform other related work as required. This position is subject to the City of Portlands Background Investigation and Drug Testing Policy. The City verifies all information prior to extending an offer of employment. New hires are required to provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States per Federal law.THE CITY OF PORTLAND IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
Qualifications High school graduation or its equivalent. Ability to read and write English Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Basic counting and cash handling skills required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer. Valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operators Class C License with a good driving record. Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain within one month of employment. Adult, Child, Infant CPR Certification Oxygen, AED and First Aid Certifications highly preferred. Special Requirements Valid Texas Identification Card or a Valid Texas Class C Drivers License. Adult, Children, Infant CPR Certified highly preferred, but not required.
