Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our vibrant senior living community. In this role, you will be the heart of resident engagement, designing and implementing a variety of enriching activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a lively environment where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute diverse recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including social events, outings, and therapeutic programs. Collaborate with care teams to develop activity schedules that support residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive health. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and needs to personalize engagement strategies. Lead group activities that promote social interaction, memory care, and cognitive stimulation for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Manage event logistics such as supplies, scheduling, and volunteer coordination to ensure smooth execution of programs. Maintain detailed records of activity participation and resident feedback to continuously improve program offerings. Communicate effectively with residents' families and staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and preferences. Requirements Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments. Strong background in recreational therapy or program development for seniors with disabilities or aging issues. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents and team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to lead team efforts while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care settings is highly preferred. Ability to assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when necessary and support their overall well-being through compassionate caregiving practices.
