Job Description

Farmington Parks and Recreation is looking to fill a League Supervisor position within the Parks and Recreation adult and youth leagues. The applicant will assist in overseeing the youth leagues at Regional Park which includes youth baseball, softball and soccer. The applicant should have good communication skills, willingness to learn if not already understand the rules of the offered sports and able to manage staff and the facilities during league play. This applicant needs to be dependable, communicate well with staff and participants. There will be some lifting and cleaning in the set-up and take down of programs.. The League Supervisor will work directly with Site Supervisors and will be managed by the Program Coordinators and Recreation Manager through the seasons. This position runs concurrent with league play. The applicant should be looking for a long-standing position with part-time hours. All worked hours will be weekday evening hours with a start time as early as 5pm and some possible Saturday morning to late afternoon. The League Supervisor must be actively engaged in meeting the needs of the sports being overseen. There is the potential for additional opportunities and growth within the department for an invested and qualified employee.
