Open Until Filled Employment Opportunity Recreation Assistants are responsible for planning, organizing, teaching, and supervising activities, games, crafts, and events. This position is also responsible for helping to set up for programs, games, and events, and then clean up when done, teaching basic fundamental sports skills to young participants, and supervising youth who attend programs. Must also exhibit and emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship. Performs other duties as required. For a full job description visit the community/position profile above. Qualifications We are looking for energetic, responsible, and patient individuals who love the outdoors and enjoys working with children. Our ideal candidate is a team player who isn't afraid to engage with young children, can lead a group of kids through a variety of activities and crafts, and maintains a 'safety-first' mindset at all times. Must also have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts that may be confrontational or stressful while also dealing politely and effectively with the public. Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to move and interact with youth in various activities that may include bending, stooping, walking, and lifting. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation. Pay and Benefits $9.18 to $20.50 per hour depending upon qualifications.

SALARY WILL GENERALLY START AT THE LOWER END OF THE SALARY RANGE.

Schedule Varying shifts available from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, from mid May to mid August. Application Process Those interested in applying should submit their application online.
