As the community connector at CRI you will receive: Hourly rate of $16.00 an hour Paid training Cell phone reimbursement Mileage reimbursement 401k with a company match A rewarding job where you get to help people in the community The schedule for this position will be:
Monday- Friday:
12:15pm - 3:30pm with the opportunity to pick up some morning pods (8:15a-11:30am). Who is CRI? CRI Inc. is a local organization providing employment skills. We work with individuals who may need support due to the presence of a barrier, typically because of the presence of a disability Our mission is to empower and support individuals to achieve their highest level of independence in the community. What does an activity coordinator do? As the community connector you will be transporting and leading pods of 3-4 consumers to help them reach their goals through a variety of different activities. The activities will be tailored to support, teach and encourage personal growth.
Some examples would be:
making healthy snacks, nutrition, and growing vegetables; fulfilling needs for creative expression through activities such as music, dance, art, crafts, and photography; leading social recreational activities such as physical fitness, yoga, basketball, and bowling; enriching lives through learning and visiting places like museums, historical buildings, fire stations and governmental offices; and teaching consumers how to access community resources such as the library, public transit, parks and recreation centers.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, equivalent or teacher recommendation. Access to reliable transportation and clean driving record. Successful completion of a Department of Justice background check. Must have a cell phone/the ability to communicate while at the job sites in the community. CRI, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
