We transform expectations through our mission of employability, independence and inclusion. Our Adult Day Program enhances quality of life by offering engaging, well-rounded daytime programming while supporting flexible scheduling options. Day programming focuses on four core areas: Independent Living & Continuing Education Communication & Socialization Recreation & Leisure Community Integration Our team is dedicated to fostering independence, creativity, safety, and meaningful connections in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Position Overview Program Assistants provide direct care, supervision, and engaging activity support to adults with disabilities. This is a hands-on, active role that supports participants' independence, safety, and overall well-being throughout daily programming. Program Assistants are compassionate, patient, energetic individuals who enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and making a positive impact each day. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in recreation, caregiving, and human services while building meaningful relationships. Key Responsibilities & Duties Personal Care & ADL Support Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, eating, grooming, dressing, and mobility (most participants are independent there may be 1 or 2 that occasionally need assistance) Provide physical assistance including lifting, transferring, and walking support as needed Activity Facilitation Lead or assist with social, recreational, and therapeutic activities such as exercise, arts and crafts, music, games, and cognitive activities Encourage participation and engagement while adapting activities to meet individual needs Safety & Supervision Actively supervise participants to ensure a safe, respectful environment Provide behavior management, redirection, and positive support as needed during activities, transitions, and community outings Health Monitoring & Documentation Observe and report changes in participants' physical or mental condition to supervisors Complete daily attendance records, progress notes, incident reports, evaluations, and timesheets accurately and on time Nutrition & Program Support Assist with preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals and snacks Set up and tear down activity spaces and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment Additional Duties Communicate professionally and consistently with participants Fulfill other duties as assigned to support program success Required Skills & Qualifications Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with adults with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina to remain active, lift, transfer, bend, and assist participants throughout the day High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in caregiving, recreation, or human services preferred Physical Demands This role is physically demanding and includes frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity for setting up and facilitating activities. Scheduling & Hours This is a part-time, year-round position with multiple schedule options: Must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday and some other days.
Hours:
