Position:
Part-Time Activity Aide 24-30 hours / week 8 AM to 4:00 PM, occasional nights for events Mainly weekdays with potentially weekends. Rotating Holidays $16-$18/hourQualifications:
Healthcare experience Activity Aide/Assistant experience is a plus The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.Job functions will include:
Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day Help design programs to encourage socialization Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills Prepare and maintain reports on resident's progress Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation Ideal candidates will have: A passion for working with people Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal Problem-solving skills The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative Musical/ arts crafts experience preferred #INDOKBenefits
