Ticketing Associate Job Summary :
Provide excellent customer service and ticketing support for events at all Kentucky Performing Arts (KPA) venues. Assist patrons with ticket purchases, account questions, and event information. This is a part-time, flexible role that includes evening and weekend shifts depending on event schedules.
Ticketing Associate Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Support the mission, vision, and values of Kentucky Performing Arts while understanding and complying with company expectations, policies, and procedures. Adapt well to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions with a positive and open mindset. Communicate clearly, consistently, respectfully, and collaboratively when communicating on behalf of KPA. Participate in all appropriate internal and external meetings, as well as professional development programs to maintain competency and increase acumen. Effectively manage financial and physical resources to achieve the mission and goals of KPA. Sell and process tickets in person, by phone, and online using ticketing software. Assist patrons with their online accounts and navigating the KPA website. Provide helpful, friendly service to all guests, including support for access services and donor programs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all KPA events and venues. Accurately balance daily sales and handle payments (cash, check, card). Keep workspace organized and assist with mailings, will call, and ticket prep. Follow data entry best practices and help maintain clean customer records. Resolve basic customer issues; escalate more complex concerns as needed. Represent KPA and its partners professionally and courteously at all times. Maintain communication with supervisors about scheduling and workplace needs. Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on procedures and tools. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Ticketing Associate Essential Physical Responsibilities :
Ability to effectively communicate in internal and external relationships for all essential job functions. Above average skills in reading, writing, and speaking English. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employees use both laptop computers and computers with dual monitors to perform most essential job functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, and may occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
Ticketing Associate Education, License and Skills :
Minimum high school diploma or GED; some additional study highly preferred. Ability & willingness to work a varied schedule of 10-28 hours per week, with a blend of standard shifts and show shifts. Standard shifts are 9:45 am-2 pm or 2 pm-6 pm (may vary). Times for show shifts vary per event and often include evenings. Some availability is preferred.
