Tour Ticket Sales Associate Boston Sightseeing Boston, MA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Tour Ticket Sales Associate Boston Sightseeing is hiring energetic and dependable team members to assist visitors and sell tickets for our sightseeing experiences throughout Boston. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, is comfortable starting conversations with customers, and can confidently recommend and sell tour options. You will often be one of the first Boston Sightseeing team members a guest interacts with, so strong communication and a welcoming attitude are important. Compensation We offer two compensation options: $17.00 per hour $15.00 per hour with the opportunity to earn commission Applicants selected to move forward can learn more about the commission program during the in-person interview and may choose the compensation option they prefer. What You'll Do As a Tour Ticket Sales Associate, you will: Welcome visitors and help them determine which sightseeing option best fits their plans Promote and sell Boston Sightseeing tickets from kiosks and other assigned sales locations Provide clear information about tour schedules, routes, stops, departure locations, fares, and ticket choices Initiate conversations with prospective customers and confidently work toward completing the sale Accept and accurately process cash and electronic payments Operate company point-of-sale equipment, mobile devices, tablets, and related technology Respond to questions from guests and provide helpful information about their sightseeing experience Maintain an orderly, professional, and guest-ready sales location Support local promotional activities, including distributing marketing materials and directing guests to QR-based purchasing options Follow established procedures for transactions, cash accountability, guest service, and daily sales operations Communicate effectively with tour guides, drivers, dispatch personnel, supervisors, and other members of the operations team What We're Looking For Successful candidates should be: Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking with new people Motivated to sell and able to confidently recommend products to customers Dependable and punctual Capable of working independently while also being part of a larger operations team Comfortable handling money and completing transactions accurately Able to learn and use basic sales and point-of-sale technology Available to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays Comfortable standing for extended periods Prepared to work outdoors during changing seasonal weather conditions Experience in sales, retail, tourism, hospitality, attractions, or customer service is helpful but not required. Candidates with strong people skills and the willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Training Paid training is provided to help new team members learn our tour products, sales process, guest-service expectations, technology, and operating procedures. About the Role This position is a strong fit for someone who likes an active work environment instead of sitting behind a desk. You will interact with visitors from around the country and around the world while helping them plan their time in Boston. Candidates offered employment may be asked to complete a background screening where permitted and conducted in accordance with applicable law.
