With its prime location across from Marion Square, the Francis Marion Hotel has been at the heart of the community as a major destination for weddings, galas, conferences and more. For over a century, the Francis Marion has been known for its exceptional hospitality and service. We have an immediate opportunity for a Reservation Agent to join our well trained, energetic team. . The Reservation Agent will handle all telephone inquiries and reservations accurately and efficiently by answering the telephones courteously, promptly, and professionally while promoting hotel services and ensuring maximum room revenues.

Responsibilities Include:

Answer telephone promptly and courteously, following AAA Four Diamond and Signature Training Guidelines to Sell the Hotel and Charleston Area. Enter guest reservations into the computer system quickly and accurately, while noting special requests and segmenting reservations into the appropriate category, while following the hotel's selling strategies. Be knowledgeable of all room types, rates, package plans, hotel services, and the local area. Demonstrate a proficiency in checking Group Block room availability, rates, and special notes. Maintain a working knowledge of the sales processes and the front office area. Report rate resistance and all guest challenges to the Revenue Manager. Maintain good relations with all guests and know and implement procedures for giving special attention to VIPs & Patriot Club members. The Francis Marion Hotel is an equal opportunity employer.
