High School diploma or equivalent, required, training/experience in food service preferred, demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed; complete a background review meeting suitability criteria under state law; and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Supervises:
Lunchroom Operations and Staff Job Goal:
To provide leadership and administrative support to the Child Nutrition Program while supervising the daily food service operations.Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Follow the approved Chain of Command for the Schools of Guntersville as set forth by the Superintendent Supervise Menu Compliance to include use of assigned recipes/planned components; determine if the food prepared is of high quality in taste and presentation at all times Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and serving areas; ensuring all health department requirements and regulations are maintained and followed. Adheres to the CNP Cell Phone Policy as agreed to with a binding signature; supervises all staff to ensure policy is followed regarding use of cell phones. Complete accurate Production Records to ensure proper portion size of food is prepared and served and available to all students according to planned menu per day; to include responsibility of scoop size for portion control Compile weekly food and supplies order; also including milk, ice cream and produce; adjusting properly from available inventory Complete a monthly inventory, unless otherwise requested, of all purchased food and commodity food to be filed on site for review at any time. A fiscal year-end inventory as of September 30 is required to be provided to the Central Office. Prepare/retain End of Day reports to include Meal Counting and Claiming determination; retain records for a five year period; responsible for proper record disposal when needed. Collect all funds paid to CNP per day for a la carte sales and lunch account prepayments to include completion of daily bank deposit to the CNP safe. Retain/organize signed vendor invoices per week for end of month collection. Retain/Verify all employee time sheets for end of payroll period collection. Supervise all kitchen operations and personnel: Prepare work schedule rotation for kitchen staff and posts for reference; ensure schedule of rotation is equally distributed among staff members Ensure each CNP staff member is performing daily duties as assigned/required Verify all food deliveries before signing invoices Supervise daily cleaning of all equipment Supervise the locking of the lunchroom, storage rooms, cooler and freezer daily Responsible for accurate, positive, professional communication between the Principal, Director, Assistant Director and staff; reporting any personal problems to the Director Foster staff morale by creating a positive work environment, promoting good public relations Maintain proper and professional relationship with employees and students; to include appropriate and professional use of social media pertaining to the position held with the Guntersville City Schools Exhibit personal grooming and dress appropriate to food service. Must be in general good health with the capability to lift 25 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Assumes all responsibility that no excessive food, supplies, or equipment is taken from the lunchroom Perform additional assignments as required or assigned which may include promotions, professional development opportunities to include overnight stay, in-service meetings or any other task deemed necessary by the Principal or CNP Director.Terms of Employment:
