In person About the Position Paris Baguette is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our new café opening in the West Phoenix Area. The General Manager will have overall responsibility for café operations, team leadership, guest experience, financial performance, product quality, food safety, and execution of company standards. We are looking for a strong restaurant leader who can build and develop a high-performing team, manage multiple departments, control labor and operating expenses, and create an exceptional experience for every guest. Because this is a new store opening , the General Manager will also play an important role in building the opening team, establishing operating standards, developing managers and team members, and creating a strong culture from day one. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day café operations Lead multiple departments including Front of House, Bakery, Cake, and Sandwich operations Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop managers and team members Build a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture Create and manage employee schedules based on business needs and labor targets Monitor sales, labor, food cost, operating expenses, and overall store performance Review P&L performance and develop action plans to improve profitability Control labor and expenses while maintaining excellent service and product standards Establish and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals Conduct regular manager and team meetings Develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and future Store Managers Maintain high standards for guest service and resolve customer concerns Drive sales through strong execution, local store marketing, catering, promotions, and community engagement Ensure consistent product quality, freshness, availability, and presentation Maintain inventory controls and oversee ordering, receiving, and product rotation Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department, workplace safety, and company standards Monitor café appearance, equipment, facilities, and maintenance needs Manage cash-handling procedures, POS operations, refunds, and loss-prevention practices Properly document and report store incidents Partner with ownership and operations leadership to achieve company goals Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout café operations Qualifications Minimum 3 years of General Manager or comparable restaurant management experience preferred Strong preference for candidates with experience independently managing a high-volume restaurant, café, bakery, or fast-casual operation New restaurant or new store opening experience highly preferred Proven experience managing and developing managers and hourly team members Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory, food cost, and operational controls Experience reviewing P&L statements and developing plans to improve sales and profitability Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with POS systems; Toast experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety and health department requirements High school diploma/GED required; college degree or equivalent management experience preferred Arizona Food Manager Certification / ServSafe certification required or must be obtained Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require What We're Looking For Our ideal General Manager is a hands-on operator and people developer who takes ownership of the business.
