Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Assistant Manager to lead and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and team performance. We have a pay scale of learning milestones to make employment trajectory transparent. Duties Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and skilled team. Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular inspections and staff training on proper food handling procedures. Assist in managing restaurant operations during shifts, including supervising staff schedules, ensuring smooth service flow, and resolving customer concerns promptly. Support management in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Requirements Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and inventory management. Strong understanding of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate teams effectively. Experience in managing kitchen operations including inventory control, budgeting, and shift management. Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues swiftly. Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is preferred; casual dining or fine dining experience is highly valued. The ability to contribute food menu ideas and take criticism professionally.
