We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the day-to-day business, build a strong local customer base, and participate in the growth of a new brand. The founder will provide the business concept, initial investment, location, branding, products, suppliers, systems, and strategic support. The Operating Partner will be responsible for executing the concept at the store level and ensuring that the first location becomes profitable and ready for expansion. A performance-based profit-sharing arrangement and potential future ownership opportunity may be available to the right candidate. Final terms will depend on experience, commitment, and the agreed partnership structure. Responsibilities Manage the bakery's daily operations from opening through closing Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store employees Maintain excellent standards for customer service, cleanliness, presentation, & product quality Manage inventory, purchasing, food costs, labor costs, and waste Develop relationships with local residents, schools, offices, community organizations, and businesses Generate catering, corporate, birthday, holiday, and special-event orders Participate in local marketing, social media, promotions, and community events Monitor sales, expenses, margins, and store performance Help create operating procedures that can be used in future MARTINE locations Work closely with the founder on menu development, pricing, promotions, & expansion plans Be physically present and actively involved in running the location Skills Entrepreneurial, dependable, energetic, and highly motivated Interested in building a business—not simply holding a management position Experience managing a bakery, café, restaurant, coffee shop, or food-service business Strong leadership, sales, customer service, and organizational skills Comfortable managing employees, inventory, vendors, schedules, and operating costs Able to develop local partnerships and actively promote the business Financially responsible and comfortable working with sales and expense reports Available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays when required English required; Bilingual is a plus Food Handler Card required; Food Protection Manager certification is preferred or must be obtained Baking or pastry experience is helpful but not required if the candidate has strong food-service management experience The exact compensation and partnership arrangement will be discussed with qualified candidates and documented separately.
