Assistant Restaurant Manager - Seasonal The Ordinarie Long Beach, CA Job Details Full-time $30 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Food service closing procedures Management Assistant manager experience Driver's License Hospitality industry experience POS Leadership Full Job Description Seasonal Assistant Manager - The Ordinarie $30/hour | 25-35 hours per week | October-DecemberDowntown Long Beach The Ordinarie is hiring an experienced Seasonal Assistant Manager to join our management team for our busy Halloween and holiday pop-up season. This is a hands-on floor management position in a high-volume restaurant and bar . We're looking for someone who is confident leading a team, comfortable managing a busy room, and genuinely understands hospitality. Schedule This position runs October through the end of December , approximately 25-35 hours per week . Friday, Saturday AND Sunday availability is required. These are our busiest days, and candidates must be available to work all three days consistently throughout the season. Evening, late-night and some holiday availability will also be required. What You'll Do Lead the restaurant floor during busy services Support and direct servers, bartenders, hosts and support staff Manage waitlists, seating flow and table turns Coordinate with the kitchen, bar and host teams Manage breaks and floor coverage Monitor food and drink ticket times Handle guest concerns and service recovery Maintain service, cleanliness and hospitality standards Help manage opening and closing procedures Coach and support team members during service Respond quickly to call-outs and operational issues Work closely with the General Manager and other managers What We're Looking For Previous restaurant management, supervisor or strong lead experience Experience in a busy, high-volume restaurant or bar Full Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent hospitality and guest-service instincts Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure Reliable, punctual and organized Comfortable being hands-on and jumping in wherever needed Toast POS experience is a plus but not required. Compensation $30 per hourApproximately 25-35 hours per week
