The restaurant seats approximately 100 guests and operates five dinner services and two brunch services over five days, with two days closed each week. This is an opportunity for an experienced GM who wants to run a restaurant like an owner , or for an ambitious restaurant leader with exceptional service skills and strong wine knowledge who is ready to take the next step. The Role The General Manager leads all aspects of the day-to-day operation, with a strong focus on service, team leadership, wine and beverage, and operational excellence . This is not an office-based position. The GM is expected to be present for service, know the guests, develop the team, and work closely with the Chef to deliver an exceptional restaurant experience. Administrative responsibilities have been intentionally streamlined and supported by efficient systems , allowing the GM to spend their time where it matters most— leading the team and taking care of guests. Responsibilities Lead all dinner and brunch services with a visible presence on the floor. Own the guest experience and standards of hospitality. Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop the front-of-house team. Build a culture of hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism. Partner closely with the Chef and culinary team. Manage reservations, guest relations, VIPs, and service recovery. Oversee the wine program, including selection, purchasing, pricing, inventory, and education. Manage bar operations, spirits, cocktails, beer, purchasing, and inventory. Build effective schedules and manage labor deployment based on business levels. Maintain strong controls around beverage costs, purchasing, inventory, waste, and operating supplies. Oversee restaurant facilities, maintenance, organization, and operational readiness. Who We're Looking For You may be an experienced fine dining General Manager looking for greater ownership and autonomy, or an exceptional AGM, Service Director, Wine Director, or similar leader ready to run a restaurant.
You should:
Love being on the floor and leading service. Have a strong understanding of fine dining hospitality. Be an excellent leader, trainer, and communicator. Have meaningful wine knowledge and a desire to continue developing it. Be comfortable leading a high-volume, approximately 100-seat restaurant. Understand labor management, costing, purchasing, and inventory controls. Be organized, accountable, and calm under pressure. Want to understand and take responsibility for every aspect of running a successful restaurant.
